Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Doing homework”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:
- explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences;
- mention the advantages (1–2) of the two ways of doing homework;
- mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of doing homework;
- express your opinion on the subject of the project – which way of doing homework you preferred in primary school and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Hi! I've chosen these photos because they show two different ways of doing homework. In the first picture, there is a young girl sitting at a table and writing in her workbook. She is doing her homework on her own. In the second picture, I can see a girl doing her homework with an older woman who seems to be her mother. There is also a laptop on the table. The main difference is that the girl in the first photo works independently, while the girl in the second photo gets help. Doing homework alone is useful because it teaches children to be responsible and independent. However, it can be difficult if they do not understand the task. Working with another person is helpful because a parent can explain difficult things and correct mistakes. On the other hand, a child can become too dependent on someone else's help. In primary school, I preferred doing homework with my parents because they could explain new topics to me. Nevertheless, I gradually learned to work independently. I think both ways are useful if they are properly balanced.
