You have received an email message from your English-speaking pen-friend Emma. She writes: “My mum still can’t download new music into her mobile phone. She says when she was young, there were no mobile phones at all. I just can’t imagine that!” Write an email to Emma and answer her three questions: What do you use your mobile phone for? Can you live without your mobile phone and why? What other gadgets do you find the most important for you?

Hi Emma, Thanks for your email. I use my mobile phone to chat with my friends, listen to music, take photos and look for information online. I can live without it, but it would be rather difficult because I often need to contact my parents and use maps. Besides, a phone helps me study and relax. The gadget I find most important is my laptop. I use it for doing homework, watching films and learning English. I think modern gadgets are useful if we do not spend all our free time on them.
