Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Jobs”. You have found some photos to illustrate it but for technical reasons you cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5 minutes be ready to explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences; mention the advantages (1–2) of the two kinds of jobs; mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two kinds of jobs; express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these jobs you’d prefer and why. You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

A possible answer: Hi, Alex! I’ve chosen two photos for our project about jobs. The first photo shows a builder wearing protective clothes and working on a brick wall. The second photo depicts several surgeons performing an operation in a hospital. The main difference is that the builder works mostly outdoors and does physical work, whereas the surgeons work indoors and need very precise professional skills. One advantage of being a builder is that you can work outdoors and see the result of your work. Besides, builders create houses and other useful things for society. However, this job can be physically demanding and sometimes dangerous. As for surgeons, they save people’s lives and their work is socially important. Nevertheless, they have to study for many years and their job is extremely stressful. In my opinion, I would prefer to be a surgeon because I would like to help people and I am interested in medicine. That’s all for now; I hope our project will be successful.
