Comment on one of the following statements. Write 200–250 words. Use the plan: make an introduction by paraphrasing the statement; express your personal opinion and give 2–3 reasons; express an opposing opinion and give 1–2 reasons; explain why you do not agree with the opposing opinion; make a conclusion restating your position.

6 қадамChoose one of the two statements and formulate a clear position. The position may be either agreement or disagreement, but it must remain consistent throughout the essay.
Write an introduction that presents the issue in different words without copying the statement verbatim.
Develop the personal opinion with two or three logically connected reasons. Add brief examples where appropriate.
Present an opposing opinion and support it with one or two reasons. This paragraph should demonstrate that both sides of the issue have been considered.
Refute the opposing opinion by explaining why the arguments for the chosen position are more convincing.
Finish with a conclusion that briefly restates the position. Check the word count, paragraph structure, grammar, vocabulary and spelling.
A coherent English essay of 200–250 words following all six points of the plan.

Using an informal style or omitting linking words.
