Both photographs show people celebrating a special occasion. In the first photo, a family is celebrating Christmas at home. The parents and their little son are opening a beautifully wrapped present near a Christmas tree. They are wearing Santa hats, so the atmosphere looks very warm and festive. In the second photo, a group of children are celebrating a birthday outdoors. They are holding presents and standing near a table with food and drinks. There are many colourful balloons around them. The pictures have several things in common: they show happy children, presents and people enjoying a celebration together. However, the celebrations are different. The first one is a quiet family event at home, whereas the second one is a lively party with friends outside. As a child, I preferred birthday parties like the one in the second photo. I liked them because I could play with my friends and take part in different games.
