Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs: give a brief description of the photos (action, location); say what the pictures have in common; say in what way the pictures are different; say which of the hobbies presented in the pictures you’d prefer; explain why. You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

In the second photo, a girl is playing the piano in a bright and elegant room. She is sitting at the instrument and concentrating on the music. The pictures have several things in common. Both girls are practising skills that require patience and regular training. However, the hobbies are quite different. Boxing is a physically demanding sport which helps people become stronger and fitter. Playing the piano is a creative activity connected with music and artistic expression. I would prefer boxing because I like active hobbies and want to improve my physical fitness. It can also teach me discipline and help me protect myself. Nevertheless, playing the piano is a wonderful way to relax and express emotions.
